A-F accountability ratings are a letter grading system implemented by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to assess the academic performance of Texas public schools and districts. Established by House Bill (HB) 22 in 2017, the A-F system provides ratings based on student achievement on standardized tests (STAAR), graduation rates, and college, career, and military readiness outcomes.
